Every month Cincinnati Coupons, LLC. will be supporting different pantries to benefit. This month I chose Bread of Life Food Pantry located at 209 North High Street in Mt Orab, OH.
I was first introduced to the Bread of Life Food Pantry by a friend of mine. He called me about a month ago letting me know about the Bread of Life Food Pantry that was started two years ago by CJ Collins, and his wife. The Collins family quickly realized that the community of Mt. Orab was starving and decided that they needed to help out where they can and started the Bread of Life Food Pantry with their own resources.
You will find the Bread of Life Food Pantry in front of CJ Collin’s Auto Body & Towing business. The couple accept donations during the week and on Wednesday beginning at 6 pm the donations are dispersed. However, if you are in desperate need of donations they will help you ASAP.
I was able to speak with CJ, when the Hubs and I dropped our donations off the day before Christmas Eve. I went in to drop off donations and to hear his story, what I didn’t expect was to be so emotional. CJ told me a story about a man who had been driving by the shop, got out of his car and ran back quickly in shame. The man later came back and CJ hurried to the gentleman. The man said that he was embarrassed to ask for help, but, he needed to feed his family. CJ opened up the Bread of Life Food Pantry for the man and will never turn anyone away. With the genorsity of the Collins family and the community surrounding Mt. Orab, there is a lot of donations being given out weekly.
The one thing that CJ said to me was “To understand, you can’t help everyone”. That’s hard for me being that I am a caring person at heart. However, I have kept that in the back of my head and the reason I started showing you my support to local pantries around Cincinnati. Just because I am not physically able to donate to every organization, doesn’t mean I’m still not helping. I am helping you to help others and that bring me peace!
The Bread of Life Food Pantry is accepting food and monetary donations. The monetary donations are used to purchase Kroger Gift Cards. Some of the special request items include:
- Pancake Mix
- Hamburger/Tuna Helper
- Peanut Butter
If you would like to make a donation to the Bread of Life Food Pantry drop your donations off during normal business hours or email me to make arrangements as I will be dropping my donations off February 1.
