Today in the April 2011 issue of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics announced a new car seat policy. It now advises parents to keep toddlers in rear-facing car seats until age two, or until they exceed the height or weight limit for the car seat, which can be found on the back or side of the seat.
Just a heads up, if you are in the market for a car seat, plan ahead. Purchasing a convertible car seat may be the best bang for the buck as your child grows. As always, check the manufactures recommendations.
