Ya’ll know that I am very passionate about donating and giving back to the community in any way possible. My motto “If it’s FREE, it’s for me!”.
As couponers we come across deals every week that are free {check out the Free In Store Items post}. Every week there are over 25 items that can be picked up for FREE by shopping smart. So I’m excited to announce that I will be participating in Couponing for Community!
Couponing for Community is gathering couponers from all across America to use the power of couponing to make a united impact. I invite you to join this community of couponers by using your couponing skills to give to a homeless shelter, food pantry, or a friend in need during the week of May 8-14, 2011! With May 14 being National Stamp Out Hunger day, there’s a goal of donating 10,000 items!
Be sure to share your donations by taking pictures (email them to Marci@CincinnatiCoupons.net) and I’ll highlight them during the week of May 8-14. In the meantime, I will be sharing what I’m collecting to donate along with a total of how much it actually cost me! See what I’m donating this week.
- How You Can Participate
What can you do now?
- Head over and Like Couponing for Community on Facebook! That will help keep you up to date on the details of the upcoming event and give you a place to connect with all of the others who are participating!
- Second, as you shop over the next few weeks, begin to set aside items that you can donate during the week of May 8-14. Note: Since we want to keep a tally of items given that week, make sure to keep track of the number of items that you give away. You can even take a picture to upload on the Couponing For Community Facebook page.
- If you have a blog/website and would like to participate, simply write up a post about Couponing for Community and then submit the direct link to your post on the ‘Join In’ tab.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need help giving away your donations! If you are a family in need, please contact me and we’ll get you what you need.
