Have you ever found a item marked down or on clearance and used a coupon to maximize your savings? If so, you have probably become addicting to purchase as much as you can every week by looking for these items. Whenever I hit the store whether it’s the mall, grocery or drug stores I always hit the clearance sections up before I go anywhere else in the store.

My favorite store to shop for markdowns has got to be Target, hands down. Whether it’s clothing or every day items there are markdowns in every single department. Plus, there are often “bulk” items on clearance and when I combine with a manufacture coupon and sometimes even a Target store coupon, I get all giddy because I’m saving at least 75% and that’s when I stock up! Be sure to check the end caps in all departments for products that are being marked down. For example, last week I bought a King Size sheet set that was located in the bedding section on a end cap and was marked down to $29.34. I used a $10/1 Target store coupon and paid $19.34 for a sheet set that was originally $45!

My local Kroger store is great for getting meat on markdown. I’ll typically bring it home and cook the meat right away so that it’s sure not to spoil. Even if our meals are already planned or made for the week, I’ll freeze the cooled meat and use later in dishes. Love doing this with hamburger for tacos, lasagna, chili, etc.

I love going to my CVS and Walgreens at the end of my road every week. They both have a variety of different items on end caps on clearance every week. I’ve picked up All detergent for $.49 a bottle, tons of FREE Sally Hansen nail polish (that I later used in a gift basket!), seasonal tissues and so much more by heading to my end cap and combining the marked down item with a coupon.

When shopping for clothing, whether in stores or online, I go straight to the clearance sections. For clothing, I love to plan ahead and am always thinking of how I can layer clothing. By layering clothing I can purchase season items like tank tops, skirts, etc. on clearance at super cheap prices and layer with leggings, long sleeve shirts, etc. to keep the kiddo warm during the cooler months!

You just never know what you’ll find on mark down. With companies coming out with new logos, new products and stores not moving product you’ll find products on clearance every day. All you gotta do is keep your eyes open and always have your coupon binder with you!
