I’ve about had it. We finished our basement last winter and I thought it was a good idea to put a chalk wall downstairs since it was the playroom. After using it a couple times I just couldn’t get the damn thing clean and I HATED looking at the streaks in the wall {Call it OCD or whatev!}.
So yesterday was my last attempt at getting it clean BEFORE I added a few more layers of the chalk paint to the wall. All was quiet in the Loehner house and I was in the basement still tackling my laundry pile {Yes, facebookers keep gigglin’!}. After I loaded up the washer I looked over at the two bottles of stain remover and thought, let’s just give it a try. So I got a old towel and got it wet and headed over to the chalk wall.
I sprayed half the wall just to see the difference and headed to the laundry basin twice to rinse out the towel. This enabled me to get all the suds off the wall. I waited about 10 minutes for the wall to try completely and was SHOCKED at the results. I then erased the wall with a wet towel {like we always do} and was so surprised to not see ANY streaks and the wall actually remained clean! It’s almost like the wall had some softener added to it because it’s also very soft to write on and touch!
Now since a “chalk wall” is for kids please take control over the situation as a parent and clean the wall to ensure NO injuries happen to the eyes….we’ve all been there!
Go on and PinIt!

I use baby wipes on my chalkboard that hands in the kitchen. Only thing I can get to work.
