One year ago today, I was going to lay in bed for what I thought would be a nap….boy was I wrong!
As soon as Mini Mi crawled up in bed I followed! As I got comfortable I felt something “pop” {best way I can explain it!}. I knew that familiar sound and really didn’t want to believe my water just broke {at least it happened on the Hubs side of the bed….haha!}! I called Hubby up as he was shooting guns and told him he needed to get home, that it was time!
I decided to jump ok waddle my way into the shower and try to relax and seize the moment. I remember as soon as the water got hot the contractions started coming full steam ahead {pun intended}. By the time I got out of the shower the contractions were pretty consistent and I just started gathering things for the hospital.
Mini Me knew what was going on and was in her room getting dressed….ya know putting on her Big Sister t-shirt! Daddy came home and we loaded up. Unlike the last trip to the hospital {I was only 32 weeks and they stopped labor!} I knew I was coming home with a baby and Mini Me was excited when I told her!
So after about 6 hours of labor and 3 pushes Sissy was born! I remember glazing into her eyes and looking over her to make sure that everything was ok. Because of how sick I was the entire 9 months I always thought there would be something wrong with her – but she’s a happy and healthy baby girl!
