Mother’s Day Ideas | The Best Ones Come From the Heart

I’m not really excited about Mother’s Day this year as I’m pretty much on bed rest until this IV comes out {whenever that is!}. But, there’s nothing better than receiving a gift from Mini Me that she did all by herself and that she’s proud of. Here are a few great and inexpensive ideas your kiddos can give to Grandma or Mommy.

Coloring Pages (Mini Me’s doing this for both MawMaw’s)
– Finger Pots – We made these for Easter and oh so cute!
Construction Paper, Straws or Pipe Cleaners, Pencil, Scissors, Tape, Child’s hand. Trace your childs hand and cut out. Fold bottom of hand and tape together over pipe cleaner or straw. With pencil roll fingers backward to make into a petal. Now you can take a toilet paper roll and decorate with paper as a vase or put styrofoam in a small pot with grass and stick straw/pipe cleaner into vase/pot.
Coupon Book – deeds that the kiddos (and Dad) can do for Mom. Like a breakfast in bed, Wine Me Dine Me evening, Nap Time, Dinner Made By _____ , etc.
Stockpile Gift Baskets – If your stockpile is overflowing, considering creating a unique gift basket for the special lady in your life.
Magazine Subscription – If you are looking for a last minute gift consider a magazine subscription to O, Food Network, All You Magazine and others. You’re able to print a certificate letting Mom know that she should expect to receive a magazine in the coming weeks.
– Handprint Stepping Stone – Grab a kit at Michael’s for around $15 and give to the gardener in your life. She’ll love it! As a couponer, I’m sure you have a 40% off coupon!
